The body's Human Growth Hormone is the largest protein, containing 191 amino
acids, produced by the pituitary gland in the human brain. It is said that

as aging is believed to be due in large part to the drastic decline of growth
hormone in the body after adulthood. At age twenty-one, the normal level
of circulating HGH is about 10 milligrams per deciliter of blood, while at
age sixty-one it is 2 milligrams per deciliter and reduces further after

Too little HGH produces dwarfs, too much, giants. Just the right amount
can have wonderful effects. The hormone was discovered in the 1920s, but
it wasn’t until 1958 that it was first injected into a growth-stunted
child whose body produced none of the hormone. The child began to grow. The
source then, sort of an organ donor program, was from people who had died.
But, by the 1980s it was discovered the drug caused a devastating side effect,
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), an incurable neurological disorder. The
FDA ordered its use stopped.
By 1986, Eli Lilly succeeded in producing a synthetic Growth Hormone containing
all 191 amino acids and safe from CJD. Treatment of growth-stunted children
commenced once more, although at an annual cost of between $14,000 and $30,000
per child.
The development inspired Dr. Daniel Rudman, an endocrinologist (glands specialist)
from Madison, Wisconsin, to experiment with a group of men between the ages
of sixty-one and eighty, injecting HGH three times a week. After six months,
they showed a gain of 8.8 percent in lean body mass and a loss of 14 percent
in fat, without diet or exercise! Their skin had become thicker and firmer,
and the lumbar bones of the spine had increased in density. Dr. Rudman called
the changes in body composition “equivalent in magnitude to the changes
incurred during 10 – 20 years of aging.”
Today, recombinant GH (synthetic) treatment is available by injection, but
only by prescription and administered and monitored under a doctor’s
supervision at a cost of up to $20,000 per year, but not without side effects.
Such treatment has been known to cause carpal tunnel syndrome and gynecomastia
(enlarged breasts).
However—now here comes the good part—it has been discovered
that in most people the pituitary gland can be induced to produce more of
its own growth hormone, no matter how old a person is, and at a fraction
of the cost, through the regular use of natural GH releasers. That’s
