Hello Friends and Customers, I don’t remember ever being so busy or working so hard. Not that
I mind, mind you; it’s fun, especially when I receive complimentary
messages and queries from so many of you. I do my best to answer all
personal messages, and my staff, under my supervision, answers the
others. So please write whenever you wish. My staff and I have been working hard developing new products to
offer you in the ongoing quest for beauty, health and youthfulness.
For the Your
Beauty section of http://www.oleda.com/, Oleda
Cream Rouge in three shades is finally ready. It’s
being packaged now and will be announced before the next Newsletter.
Cream Rouge is one of my favorite make-ups—there are so many little
tricks you can do with it—but, for some inexplicable reason, creamy
rouge has all but disappeared from stores. Now, it’s Oleda to the
rescue! Available for shipping in a couple weeks, you’ll see that it
doubles as lipstick, too. As a direct assist in the Anti-Aging department, we are hard at
work to develop a Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
stimulant that really works. This product should be ready by the end
of the year. It takes a long time to develop and test a product like
this. We must be sure it’s the best of its kind. HGH replacement and
stimulation is an evolving science that shows great promise to
enhance the very essence of my mission, namely, to help as many
people as possible look, feel and actually be far younger than their
chronological age. Speaking about age, I put myself up as living proof that the
number of birthdays we have had is just that – a number that does
not, should not represent how we look, feel and act. On my wedding
day last year (at age 66!) can you believe my heart was doing flip
flops as if I was still in my most nubile twenties? Today, my
”number” is 68. I’m proud of it. I really don’t realize how old I am
anymore.…my “number” says one thing and my heart and body always
say, “s-o-o-o-o much younger.” My job is to convince you, if you’re
skeptical, that another birthday is just another number for you,
too. Read on. But first, on a personal note I would like to share something
very important to me. As I’ve already said, in 2001 I became a
“young bride.” The ensuing fifteen months have been the most
magnificent of my entire life. My husband, Richard, and I are the
same age and have so many things in common that we share every day.
We’re almost inseparable. So much so that I have convinced him to
participate more in Oleda and Company, not just as my advisor, but
President of the company. I’ve promoted myself to CEO. What fun
having a man like Richard, who has an extensive corporate executive
background, “reporting” to me. (Smile! - You can meet him on the web
site in “About
Oleda” and also in “Your
Beauty.”) You’ll be hearing more about our collective activities
in the near future. A study of some 45,000 twins has shown that environmental
influences, not shared genes, accounted for up to 82 percent of the
risk of contracting one of eleven types of cancer that were
monitored. Another study of cancer incidence, this time among identical
twins—with identical genetic make-ups—showed that concordance was
less than 15%, proving again that lifestyle and environment are more
important than genes in governing our body’s health. Beyond these studies, for the most part, skin that looks old is
probably sun-damaged. If your skin had never been exposed to the
sun, the look and feel of old skin wouldn’t show up until very late
in life. And that’s without doing anything for it. Even late in
life, with proper care, you can have young looking skin. Protecting
your skin from the sun is the most significant thing you can do to
prevent wrinkles, dry/aging skin and discoloration. Smoking also
ages your skin before its time. It reduces blood flow to the skin,
which leads to wrinkles, and interferes with the skin’s natural
defense against free radicals. To go on, life expectancy for a person born today, according to
IRS averages, is 82 years. Fifty years ago it was 68. In 1900,
average life expectancy was 47 years. Living past 100 years is becoming less and less uncommon. When
Willard Scott of NBC TV started broadcasting the names of
centenarians in 1980, the number of letters he received was a mere
trickle. Today he gets 400 per week. There are 76,000 people in the
US who have reached the age of 100. The Census Bureau forecasts
129,000 by 2010, the year before the Baby Boomers begin to turn 65.
In the next century, the prediction is 2,500,000. Medical research and technology will continue to fight disease
and promote longer lives. The question becomes, not if we are going
to live longer, but how, and in what condition? Will we be “old” and
lifeless, or “young,” beautiful and vital regardless of whatever
number our chronological age happens to be? The choice is in our
hands. The cells in our body are always changing…either for the better
or for the worse. They can be renewed. Bone cells take the
longest—up to a year—but soft tissue cells take much less time to
renew. This is a choice you make. Proper diet,
exercise and nutritional supplements can help you live a healthier,
longer, happier lifespan. Very important also is to get regular
medical check ups by your friendly doctor. A recent study in the American Journal of Physiology found that
anti-oxidant intervention, which can come from taking nutritional
supplements or from a steady routine of exercise, slows parts of the
aging process. Regular exercise or a diet including plenty of
anti-oxidants such as vitamin E, vitamin C and beta carotene, fresh
vegetables and fruits, all of which fight the tendency of oxygen to
slowly break down muscle mass, might protect against the type of
tissue and muscle damage, as well as some illnesses, that occur as
individuals grow older. Americans are slowly winning the battle against our most common
causes of death and medical research will continue to make new
discoveries. However, studies and research have shown that people
can’t leave it up to the scientists to find the fountain of youth.
We have to take control of our own health and do what we can to live
a healthier, longer, happier and more beautiful life. And THAT is
plenty! Buy-One-Get-One-Free We have never made an offer like this before! We want
