Why should
one use a Cream Rouge?
Because the creamy texture glides over the skin smoothly and
easily…it goes exactly where you want it to go - evenly.
Cream
rouge
can be used over foundation, a moisturizer or directly on
the skin.
It
gives a soft, even glow and it’s easy to taper, or blend the
edges of the rouge to make it appear very natural looking. Never
use rouge with glitter or
sparkles. If you are “over 20,” it will make your skin appear
older and, if I may say so, a bit tacky. Only natural looking
colors should be worn…no odd colors.

How
to apply Cream Rouge: Pat
one finger in rouge pan…then pat finger on the edge
of the palm of the other hand. Smudge around slightly
on the hand so that the rouge is thinned out on your
finger. (You need very little.)
Lightly
tap cream rouge on cheeks from temples to nose, putting
less rouge toward the temples and nose and more toward
the center of the cheeks. Lightly blend the rouge up
and over the cheekbones as well as down and under the
cheekbones.
|
Now
blend out smoothly toward the temples and nose still leaving
a little more color toward the center of the cheek. Make
sure there are no “lines” of demarcation …blend carefully
so you cannot see where the rouge stops.
| Model’s
trick: Lightly, put a touch of rouge on the tip of your
chin, the center of your neck and a few dots on your forehead
along the hairline. Blend these areas so you see only
a hint of color, smoothing the forehead rouge into the
hairline. Spread the neck dots around on the neck and
smooth out the chin dots on the bottom
edge of the chin….gives the face a softer, more natural
look. Rouge should never be worn to “change the shape
or contour of the face.” |

Don’t
forget to “powder down” not only in order to set the makeup
so it stays on longer, but also to prevent a shiny face. Shine
on the face plays up even small wrinkles. If you should need more
rouge later for the evening, add a little powder
rouge very
lightly with a blusher brush in the same areas.
