Make sure you remove any trace
of oil or cleanser from your eyelashes, eyelids and under
your eyes, since oil can disturb even the best mascara. Sometimes
you will see mascara on the skin under someone’s eyes…that’s
because 1. oil was left on the skin under the eyes, and 2.
the mascara they had on was not indelible.
After cleansing your face, using a tissue or thin washcloth, apply a toner/astringent to gently remove residual oils that may still be on the surface of your eyelids and lashes. Use an eyelash curler; it will give you more of an open, more dramatic look and will make your eyelashes appear thicker. Apply one coat to the top and bottom lashes, then go back and apply a second coat.
